Job summary

Duramax Marine Manufacturing, a 100% ESOP company in Ohio, seeks a Dimensional Metrology Technician to verify parts meet drawings and customer specs on the production floor. You will set up FARO arms, operate CMMs, and lead calibration coordination while logging results and coaching peers.

You will apply GD&T, blueprint reading, and precision measurement with micrometers, calipers, and height gauges, contributing to root-cause analysis and quality improvements under ISO 9001:2015.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical education in quality preferred.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing quality control/inspection experience.
• Experience with rubber or plastic molding QA is a plus.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 QMS and quality data analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections using gauges to confirm compliance with prints and specs.
• Identify and document deviations with complete records.
• Inspect rubber components with appropriate techniques.
• Operate micrometers, calipers, ID mics, tape measures, dial indicators, go/no‑go gauges, feeler gauges, and height gauges.
• Operate FARO or other CMM; support validation activities.
• Schedule calibrations and coordinate external calibrations.
• Assist with root cause analysis, corrective actions, scrap reduction, and quality system improvements.
• Support ISO 9001 compliance and audits.
• Follow safety policies.
