Job summary

Duke Health Cary is launching an ultrasound sonography position within its Imaging Services. The role operates sonographic equipment, performs diagnostic exams, and collaborates with Radiologists to deliver accurate findings.

Eligibility includes ARDMS certification within 18 months of hire, with RDMS/RVT and BLS preferred. The position offers relocation assistance and a commitment bonus, with a Monday-Wednesday schedule and rotating holidays.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification within 18 months of hire.
• RDMS and RVT preferred.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic ultrasound examinations.
• Exams include abdominal, vascular, small parts, ob-gyn, infant head/hip/spine, and interventional procedures.
• Maintains ultrasound equipment and work area, and ensures adequate supplies.
• Completes exam tracking/billing daily.
• Assists in training ultrasound students during rotations.
• Coordinates with staff to ensure appropriate patient care.
