Job summary

Paragon Medical, a business of AMETEK, is seeking a CNC Machinist to program, set up and run CNC Machining Centers to produce complex parts with minimal supervision. You will assist in developing new processes and work as a contributing member in a team.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED and 3–6 years of CNC experience in manufacturing. The role is based in Dayton, OH with hourly compensation and a nominal salary range.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing setting.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret prints and specs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce parts per print.
• Write and qualify CNC programs to meet print requirements.
• Meet quality and schedule requirements.
• Monitor tool life and replace cutting tools as needed.
• Troubleshoot programming and in-process production issues.
• Provide technical guidance to operators and lower-level machinists.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards.
• Support process improvement through written feedback on jobs.
