Job summary

Hanwha Aerospace USA in Cheshire, CT is seeking a CNC Machinist 1 to operate turning and milling equipment on the first shift (Mon-Thu, 5:00am-3:30pm). You will read blueprints, set up machines, and ensure parts meet precise specifications.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, US person with the ability to work with ITAR data, and a willingness to travel up to 10% for domestic tasks. Aerospace experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English at a functional level.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Experience with CNC turning and milling and G & M codes.
• Domestic travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Machine parts to specifications using lathes and milling machines.
• Setup, adjust and operate CNC turning and milling machines.
• Interpret blueprints, work instructions and tolerances.
• Verify parts using precision instruments and measurements.
• Maintain documentation of in-process inspection data.
