Job summary
Barton Staffing Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist III for a manufacturing client in Addison, IL. You will set up and operate complex CNC lathe jobs, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet specifications with minimal supervision.
Ideal candidate has extensive CNC lathe experience, GD&T knowledge, and strong troubleshooting skills. You will support NPI activities, participate in Lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives, and maintain a safe, organized work area on the 1st
Qualifications
- Extensive CNC lathe experience required.
- Strong troubleshooting and blueprint-reading skills (GD&T).
- Experience with NPI and Lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate complex CNC lathe jobs with minimal supervision.
- Load and run parts according to manufacturing plans and specifications.
- Select and install tooling and update fixturing as required.
- Pull and load CNC machining programs.
- Monitor tooling wear and replace tooling per tool-life requirements.
- Perform tool and offset changes during setup and production.
- Complete setups for production parts and NPI work.
- Inspect machined parts using precision measuring equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and product specs.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, dimensional, and process issues.
- Support Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
