Job summary

Altec in Duluth, MN is seeking an experienced painter to set up and operate painting systems for truck bodies and components. You will spray with handheld guns and monitor film thickness while ensuring paint standards are met.

Qualifications

• Be able to read, write, and comprehend.
• Proficient in spraying with paint guns.
• Knowledge of automotive painting.

Responsibilities

• Operate painting system and spray truck bodies/components with handheld gun.
• Aim for consistent dry film thickness and meet paint standards.
• Check paint viscosity and adjust as needed.
• Change solvent and paint drums, fill hardener.
• Maintain paint booth and filter equipment, PPE care.
• Load/unload parts to be painted and monitor booth/oven temps.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and cross-train.
