Job summary

Rheem Manufacturing Company in Montgomery, AL seeks an Automatic Jacket Machine Operator to support the Water Heating Division. You will review specs, set up and operate machines, load materials, and ensure quality through measurements and inspections.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting information from drawings and instructions.
• Ability to quickly and precisely adjust machine controls to exact positions.
• Frequent and continuous lifting as part of the job.

Responsibilities

• Review specifications and instructions to set machine operations and sequences.
• Operate machine tools and load/unload materials.
• Set stops, change dies, and adjust components for multiple passes.
• Monitor feed length and eject parts and waste.
• Perform first piece and in-process quality checks using micrometer or scale.
• Consult supervision to resolve malfunctions and obtain production approval.
• Conduct basic machine maintenance and clean equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping.
