Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking a full-time, non-exempt assembler in Minnesota. You will assemble tooling per drawings, inspect products to meet customer and company specs, and package items according to requirements.

You will also train colleagues, perform maintenance, and participate in process improvements while handling inventory and software transactions. Required HS diploma/GED, basic computer skills, ability to read assembly drawings, and capability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to read assembly drawings.
• Experience with manufacturing software and ability to work with Word documents.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a team and follow procedures.
• Attention to quality and adherence to specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assemble tools following procedures and engineering drawings.
• Inspect items produced against quality specifications.
• Package according to customer requirements.
• Initiate quality review on nonconforming components.
• Train others according to assembly, department and company procedures.
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot machines and equipment.
• Maintain inventory and complete transactions in manufacturing software.
• Create Word documents to identify components.
