Job summary

Axle in New York is hiring its first QA Automation Engineer—a foundational role as we scale our critical platform for Wall Street. You’ll own the automation framework from scratch, define coverage, and help ship software with confidence.

You’ll build tests with Playwright and TypeScript, integrate them into CI/CD, and keep quality front and center as the product grows. This is a high-ownership role in a fast-moving startup, located in our Flatiron office.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of QA or software testing experience, with meaningful automation.
• Hands-on experience building test automation frameworks from scratch.
• Proficiency with Playwright and TypeScript; Cypress or Selenium also considered.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the test automation framework from scratch using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Write and maintain automated tests across functional, regression, and smoke testing for the platform.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to keep quality gates fast and reliable.
