Job summary

Socket is hiring its first Product Manager to shape product strategy for developer-facing security tools. You’ll partner with leadership and engineering to understand customer needs, identify problems, and turn them into clear priorities and shipped features.

You’ll work with Customer Engineering and Sales, build a product practice, and establish success metrics, timelines, and trade-offs. This is a ground-up role with real impact and growth potential at a fast-moving SaaS company.

Qualifications

• Several years of product management experience in a B2B SaaS environment.
• Strong prioritization and trade-off decision abilities.
• Technical fluency to discuss with engineers and customers.
• Customer curiosity and ability to uncover underlying problems.
• Ability to influence multiple orgs without formal authority.
• Strong project management instincts.
• Clear, concise written communication for async work.
• Builder mindset; no product playbook yet.
• Preferred: experience with software supply chain security and security platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own prioritization across commitments, support escalations, reliability work, and new opportunities.
• Talk directly with customers, sit in on CE and Sales calls, test proposed solutions early.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to turn priorities into requirements and plans.
• Balance technical constraints and costs when evaluating options.
• Maintain a current picture of commitments and guide GTM messaging and timelines.
• Document expected benefits and learnings to inform next decisions.
