Job summary

Propelis is hiring a Press Operator 2 for our St. Louis location. In this hands-on production role, you will operate and maintain a two-piece, dry offset printing press to produce high-quality printed cans for many of the brands people recognize on store shelves every day.

Position Summary

Propelis is hiring a Press Operator 2 for our St. Louis location. In this hands‑on production role, you will operate and maintain a two‑piece, dry offset printing press to produce high‑quality printed cans for many of the brands people recognize on store shelves every day. You will help identify and communicate print issues early, support smooth commercial production, and assist in developing Second Press Operators.

Shift

1st Shift, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

$1,000 Sign‑On Bonus

$1,000 Sign‑On Bonus available for eligible hire, paid in two installments and subject to company guidelines.

What You Will Do

You will operate, monitor, and maintain a two‑piece, dry offset printing press; produce high‑quality printed cans; identify print anomalies and communicate them clearly to front‑end teams; follow safety, quality, and production standards; and support training for Second Press Operators as needed.

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1–2 years of printing press operating experience
  • Dry offset printing experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, dependability, and a commitment to safe work practices
Skills & Abilities
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical print knowledge
  • Exceptional color vision and attention to detail
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Ability to work safely in press areas and follow company standards, policies, procedures, and applicable regulations
  • Strong attendance, punctuality, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow direction, work independently or with a team, solve problems, multitask, and take on additional responsibilities as needed
Physical Requirements
  • Use vision, color vision, and focus adjustment to evaluate print quality
  • Use hands to reach, grasp, handle, and feel materials and equipment
  • Communicate effectively in a production environment
  • Stand and walk for most of the shift
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds

Compensation Statement

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $25 - $28 USD hourly. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job‑related factors.
