Job summary

Wlgroup is seeking a full-time on-site IT Support Technician in the Norfolk, VA area. You will deliver first call resolution, install and maintain IT equipment, and handle workstations across the local network. You’ll document actions in the ticket system and keep users updated while escalating when appropriate.

A+ hardware/software knowledge and strong English skills are required. Some after-hours support may be needed.

Qualifications

• A+ level hardware and software fundamentals are required.
• Experience with Windows 10 system administration.
• Experience using service management ticket systems to track incidents and requests.

Responsibilities

• Deliver first call resolution in line with standard operating procedures.
• Provide level one support for incidents and requests and escalate when appropriate.
• Install and maintain IT equipment for the unit and supported customers.
• Install and maintain software on workstations across the local network.
• Record actions in the approved ticket system and keep Status updates current.
• Follow up with users on completed requests before closing the ticket.
• Contribute to accountability of IT assets and assist with equipment handover.
