Job summary

Quartr, a real-time financial AI data company, seeks its first in-house Legal Counsel in New York. You will own legal across the Swedish parent and US/Ireland subsidiaries, reporting to CFO/COO, partnering with sales, product and leadership to keep momentum while upholding controls.

You’ll build the function from the ground up, set templates and playbooks, negotiate API, data licensing and commercial contracts, and manage cross-border outside counsel as Quartr scales.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of relevant legal experience.
• Direct experience negotiating API, SaaS or data licensing agreements with B2B/enterprise customers.
• Comfortable owning legal risk end to end without a large team.

Responsibilities

• Lead legal for the Swedish parent, US subsidiary and Irish subsidiary.
• Build a legal function with process, templates, and playbooks.
• Own commercial contracting end-to-end, including API and data licensing.
• Advise product and engineering on data use, IP and liability.
• Manage outside counsel across Sweden, US and Ireland.
• Partner with CFO/COO on risk, compliance and governance.
