Job summary

Little Elm ISD’s Little Elm Elementary invites a dedicated 1st Grade teacher to deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in core subjects. You will create lessons, assess progress, and foster a supportive classroom culture aligned with campus and district policies.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, Texas teaching certificate with endorsements, ESL certification, and the ability to support diverse learners. This is a full-time, on-site position supporting student growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned.
• ESL Certification required for all Elementary (K-5) positions.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
• ESL Certification preferred for all other special/elective content areas.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the district curriculum requirements and show written preparation.
• Plan and use instructional strategies, activities, materials, and technology tailored to learning styles and needs.
• Conduct assessments of student learning and use results to plan instruction.
• Work with staff to modify curricula for special education students per IEPs.
• Plan and assign work to instructional aides and oversee completion.
• Conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement through formal and informal testing.
• Lead extracurricular activities as assigned and promote district mission.
• Create a positive classroom environment conducive to learning and student development.
• Manage student behavior per the Student Code of Conduct and handbook.
• Maintain professional relationships and communicate with parents, students, colleagues, and community.
