The Merit School is seeking First Grade Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year in a private school setting. The role involves creating engaging lessons, managing a group of young students, and maintaining a safe, organized classroom with clear communication for families.

Ideal candidates hold an associate degree in ECE or elementary education (bachelor’s preferred) and have at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in ECE or elementary education, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year field-related experience with young children.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Be committed to high quality education at every level.
• Meet individual needs of children and interact with all children.
• Implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities.
