Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college.
• North Carolina teaching license in Elementary Education or eligibility.
• Strong knowledge of instructional practices, classroom management, and assessment.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality, standards-based instruction aligned to the North Carolina Standard Course of Study.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of all learners.
• Utilize research-based instructional strategies and technology to increase student engagement and achievement.
• Analyze student data to monitor progress, provide targeted interventions, and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Maintain accurate student records, grades, and assessment data.
• Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom culture.
• Establish and maintain high expectations for student behavior with PBIS.
• Foster student independence, collaboration, and a love of learning.
• Actively participate in Professional Learning Teams (PLTs) and develop interventions.
• Collaborate with instructional coaches, specialists, interventionists, and support staff.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and expectations.
• Participate in professional development and school improvement initiatives.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold district policies and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
