Job summary

The role requires building strong instructional plans, ongoing assessment, and collaboration with grade-level teams to ensure high-quality learning experiences for all students.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of current teaching methods and pedagogy.
• Knowledge of elementary school curriculum and concepts.
• Knowledge of data information systems and analysis.
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state education laws.
• Ability to use computer networks and software applications.
• Ability to organize and coordinate work.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers elementary curriculum aligned to district goals.
• Promotes a safe classroom with individualized and small-group instruction.
• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials for effective learning.
• Assesses student learning and adapts instruction as needed.
• Instructs students on citizenship and applicable policies.
• Maintains records of student progress and attendance.
• Communicates with parents and supports involvement in education.
• Maintains pupil behavior standards and manages classroom environment.
• Coordinates with staff to evaluate curriculum and attend faculty meetings.
• Requisitions supplies and maintains inventory.
