Ferris State University College of Business is seeking a Student Success Initiative Staff Assistant for First-Gen Programs. This role supports First-Gen initiatives and serves as a campus liaison, connecting students to resources and promoting engaging, inclusive environments.

The position is part-time, with hours primarily on weekdays from 11:00am to 3:00pm, some evenings and weekends possible, and requires a confidential background check and completion of an authorization form.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student at Ferris State University.
• GPA of 2.50 or higher at application and maintained during employment.
• Sophomore status or higher at application.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Familiarity with Navigate360 and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Student Success Initiatives and campus partners.
• Uphold program rules and university policies for student safety.
• Foster an inclusive community for first-generation students.
• Provide front-line support to visitors at the First-Gen Den (FLITE Building 119).
• Help coordinate logistics of First-Gen Program events and learning opportunities.
• Other duties as assigned.
