Job summary

Overflow is seeking its first dedicated Data Engineer to lay the foundation of our data and analytics ecosystem. You will be the primary architect and builder of our data infrastructure, owning a rapidly expanding data landscape and establishing a robust BI and Data Governance layer for reliable metrics across Sales, CS, Finance, and Success teams.

Qualifications

5+ years of Data Engineering experience, preferably as lead engineer at a fast-growing tech or fintech company.
Proven ability to design efficient OLAP schemas for complex financial data and business metrics.
Strong proficiency with AWS data services and building reliable CDC pipelines.
Deep familiarity with NoSQL databases and relational SQL databases.
Excellent cross-functional communication to translate business needs into data models.

Responsibilities

Architect and own Overflow's core data infrastructure from the ground up—pipelines, warehouses, data models, and orchestration.
Design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to collect, transform, and deliver clean, reliable data across functions.
Build and maintain a unified data layer integrating Engineering, Product, Finance, Revenue, and Operations.
