Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Minnesota is seeking a dedicated First Cook to support our Nutrition Services team. You will prepare and assemble meals using standardized recipes while ensuring top quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years cook experience
• Able to communicate clearly in English (verbal and written)
• Basic math skills
• Certified or willing to become certified for food safety

Responsibilities

• Prepares food to meet temperature and quality standards.
• Follows standardized recipes weighing/measuring ingredients for consistency.
• Assembles food within appropriate time frames.
• Handles and prepares food in a safe manner per HACCP SOPs
• Takes and documents temperatures and makes adjustments to meet standards.
• Sanitizes equipment and work area per schedule and procedure.
• Demonstrates ownership for self and others in the work area.
• Provides care or service with attention to developmental level and cultural differences of the population served.
