Turnbridge Academy Overview is seeking a skilled Cook to join our kitchen team. You will prepare, cook, and plate high-quality menu items, following our recipes and standards. A fast-paced environment, weekend and evening availability expected.

You will operate kitchen equipment safely, maintain a clean workstation, and coordinate with back-of-house and service teams to ensure timely service. Food safety and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of kitchen experience preferred.
• Strong knife skills and basic cooking techniques.
• Ability to read, follow, and replicate standardized recipes precisely.
• Open availability, including weekends, nights, and holidays as required by the schedule.
• Food Handler’s certification (or willingness to obtain one upon hire).
• Reliable transportation and an excellent attendance record.

Responsabilités

General Summary:
As a Cook, you will be a key member of our kitchen team, responsible for preparing, cooking, and plating high-quality menu items according to our established recipes and standards. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, maintains a clean and organized workstation, and works seamlessly with both the back-of-house and service teams.

• Prepare and execute menu items efficiently during high-volume breakfast, lunch, or dinner services.
• Operate and maintain standard kitchen equipment safely (e.g., grills, fryers, ovens, food processors).
• Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications accurately.
• Manage prep tasks and keep multiple kitchen stations stocked and organized.
• Practice strict food safety, sanitation, and temperature control standards.
• Handle opening and closing kitchen duties, including deep cleaning and restocking.
• Coordinate effectively with team members and management to ensure fast, accurate ticket times.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 2–3 years of kitchen experience preferred (high-volume or fine dining experience is a plus).
• Strong foundational knife skills and understanding of basic cooking techniques.
• Ability to read, follow, and replicate standardized recipes precisely.
• Open availability, including weekends, nights, and holidays as required by the schedule.
• Food Handler’s certification (or willingness to obtain one upon hire).
• Reliable transportation and an excellent attendance record.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended shifts (8+ hours).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Comfort working in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment around wet floors and hot surfaces.
