We’re looking for an experienced First Cook to join our corporate dining team. In this role, you’ll prepare fresh, high-quality food for daily café service and catered events while helping create a welcoming experience for our guests.
As a First Cook, you’ll be a key member of the culinary team. You should be comfortable working independently at a station, preparing food from recipes and production needs, and keeping service running smoothly during busy periods.
You’ll enjoy a professional, team-oriented kitchen environment with steady daytime hours, no late nights, and a schedule that supports work-life balance.
Prepare and cook high-quality breakfast and lunch items for daily café service
Independently set up, operate, and maintain assigned cooking stations
Prepare made-to-order and batch-cooked menu items with attention to quality, flavor, presentation, and consistency
Follow recipes, production sheets, portion standards, and established culinary procedures
Support food preparation and execution for catering, meetings, and special events
Monitor food quality, freshness, temperatures, and presentation throughout service
Keep your station clean, organized, stocked, and ready for service
Follow food safety, sanitation, allergen, and workplace safety standards
Work closely with chefs, managers, and other team members to keep production and service on track
Assist with receiving, stocking, cleaning, and other kitchen responsibilities as needed
Provide friendly, professional service and interact positively with guests
Previous professional cooking experience in a restaurant, corporate dining, hospitality, catering, or similar food service environment
Strong cooking skills and the ability to confidently work a station with limited supervision
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen equipment
Ability to follow recipes and consistently meet quality and portion standards
Ability to stay organized and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
Strong attention to food quality, presentation, sanitation, and safety
Dependable, punctual, and ready to contribute wherever the team needs support
Positive, team-focused attitude and strong communication skills
Ability to pass a background check
