Job summary

Ingalls Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, seeks First‑Class Electricians for Pascagoula, MS, for the October 2026 Hiring Event. You will install and repair shipboard electrical systems on advanced naval vessels, reading complex drawings and wiring schematics.

Minimum 4 years in industrial/marine electrical work, a high school diploma, and safety‑driven, team‑oriented approach are required. Competitive overtime and benefits accompany this full‑time role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in commercial, industrial or marine electrical field.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Read and interpret marine drawings and/or blueprints using metric and standard measurements.

Responsibilities

  • Lay out, install, and repair marine cables, power systems, lighting, and electronic equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints, drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment to perform precise, code‑compliant work.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, equipment, and shipboard power systems.
  • Work in shipyard environments with heights, confined spaces, and varying weather conditions.
  • Support production across multiple shifts in a 24/7 industrial environment.
  • Follow Ingalls’ electrical safety procedures in every task and workspace.
