The Clubs of Peachtree City & Newnan are seeking a 1st Assistant Superintendent to oversee daily golf course operations, lead maintenance staff, and coordinate with departments to maintain optimal playing conditions. The role requires hands-on management, strong leadership, and adherence to safety and environmental standards.

The ideal candidate has a turf management degree, 3+ years in golf course maintenance, budget input experience, and a valid pesticide license or ability to obtain within 90

Qualifications

• Associates and/or Bachelor's degree in Turf Management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of Golf Course Maintenance experience.
• Minimum 1 year of budget input experience and cost control.
• Current State Pesticide Applicators License or able to obtain within 90 days.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily golf course operations, staffing, and scheduling to meet department goals.
• Approve vacation and sick leave; ensure accurate timecard submissions.
• Collaborate with Superintendent to recruit, interview, and hire staff using ATS.
• Train, supervise, and motivate staff to meet quality standards.
• Assess course condition priorities and manage turf maintenance activities.
• Manage inventories of chemicals, fertilizers, and supplies with proper documentation.
• Assist in planning and controlling budgets and annual agronomy plan.
• Ensure safety practices and regulatory compliance across the department.
