Job summary

Links at Perry Cabin is seeking a 1st Assistant Superintendent to work closely with the Superintendent on maintaining exceptional playing conditions for members and guests. The role focuses on budget adherence, staff supervision, and overseeing maintenance across greens, tees, fairways, and bunkers.

The candidate should have a related degree and 3–4 years of experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to obtain a Maryland pesticide license within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in agronomy, horticulture, plant science, or soil science.
• 3-4 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining the golf course maintenance budget and capital plans with the Superintendent.
• Supervise maintenance staff and daily duties.
• Plan, organize and direct maintenance and construction of greens, tees, fairways, roughs and bunkers.
• Oversee planting and cultural practices for turf grasses, trees and ornamentals.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and aligned with budget.
• Procure supplies while keeping costs within budget.

Education

Bachelor's degree in agronomy/horticulture/plant/soil science

Associate degree in agronomy/horticulture/plant/soil science

Equivalent combination of education and experience
