Experience Required
- Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university.
- Class A PGA of America Professional in good standing.
- Minimum of five years of progressive golf operations experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Experience at a private, semi-private or high-volume daily fee facility preferred.
Demonstrated experience with:
- Golf Genius Tournament Software
- Microsoft Office
- Handicap management systems
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Knowledge of USGA Rules of Golf and the World Handicap System.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours during the golf season.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist Head Golf Professional with hiring, training and supervising outside staff
- Effectively manages numerous outing and member tournaments
- Maintains golf shop inventory control system
- Conducts and implements golf clinics and golf instruction
- Manages USGA Handicap System
- Manages the daily opening and closing golf operations
- Coordinates junior golf activities and clinics
- Daily communication between golf operations staff, green and grounds, and food and beverage staff
- Performs outside duties as needed
- Ensures golf course is properly marked and maintained for daily play
- Assist members by providing and interpreting golf policies, rules and regulations
- Overseeing all daily operations including golf shop sales, merchandising, operating the POS system and maintaining tee sheet applications
- Play golf with Members and participate in Chapter & Section events
- Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Head Golf Professional
- Performs and operates under all club policies outlined in the employee manual
