Job summary

Military Sealift Command seeks a First Assistant Engineer (CIVMAR) to operate and maintain engine department machinery aboard naval auxiliaries and hybrid-manned warships. You will ensure efficient crew performance and adherence to safety programs.

Requirements include USCG license as First Assistant Engineer or higher, STCW endorsements, QMED, and EPA refrigerant handling certification; seven months passport validity and TWIC/CAC. Position based aboard US Navy ships worldwide.

Qualifications

• Must hold USCG license endorsed as First Assistant Engineer or above; STCW endorsements III-1/2/3/4/5; QMED – Any Rating; EPA refrigerant handling certificate/card.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and preserve engine department machinery and equipment.
• Ensure economical use of supplies, stores, and spare parts; maintain spaces under engine department.

Education

USCG license – First Assistant Engineer or higher

STCW endorsements III-1 to III-5

QMED – Any Rating

EPA Universal refrigerant handling certificate/card
