Job summary

WGPW Industrial Turbine Services is seeking a Quality Control - 1st Article Inspector in Bloomfield, CT. The role inspects new GG8 spare parts and owner tooling, reading overhaul manuals and drawings to ensure dimensional accuracy.

Experience with Pratt & Whitney manuals, GD&T, and ERP quality transactions is preferred. You will use micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools, and may work at other WGPW locations as workload fluctuates.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret Pratt & Whitney engine manuals, blueprints, service bulletins, and catalogs.
• Understand GD&T and drawing interpretation.
• Use basic shop measuring equipment and document results.
• Maintain ERP quality transactions and handle non-conformities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work area and follow safety rules.
• Read engine manuals, blueprints, service bulletins, catalogs, and fit-up data.
• Understand GD&T and drawing interpretation.
• Process quality transactions in ERP, including non-conformities.
• Operate measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gages.
• Possibly work at other WGPW locations as needed.
• Approve AS9102 First Article Inspection packages and reports.
