Job summary

WGPW Industrial Turbine Services in Bloomfield, CT seeks a Quality Control 1st Article Inspector to perform detailed inspections of GG8 spare parts and tooling. Strong dimensional skills and drawing interpretation are required; aerospace experience is a strong plus.

The role involves reading engine manuals, blueprints, and data, and may require work at other locations. Excellent attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with job audits, including internal ISO9001 audits.
• Ability to calculate figures such as ratios, area, circumference, and volume; apply basic algebra and geometry to inspection.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and clean work area and follows safety procedures.
• Reads Pratt & Whitney engine manuals, blueprints, service bulletins, illustrated parts catalogs, and standard practice documents.
• Understands GD&T and drawing interpretation.
• Processes quality transactions in ERP, including non-conformities.
• Uses shop measuring equipment to inspect parts.
• Works overtime as required.
• Receives inspection of gas generators per overhaul manuals and data.
• May work at other WGPW locations or departments; may approve AS9102 First Article Inspection.
