Job summary

GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group Company, is seeking a hands-on QA/Validation Engineer to validate audio and streaming features across bench and in-vehicle environments. You’ll reproduce defects, author tests, and drive coverage in collaboration with firmware teams.

The role requires 8+ years of validation experience, strong Python scripting, and robust log analysis, with a track record in embedded firmware environments and AD/BI style tooling.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a hands-on validation/QA engineering role on firmware or embedded products.
• Experience writing and executing test plans/cases, closing coverage gaps, and managing defects through full lifecycle.
• Strong log triage, debugging instincts and familiarity with Wireshark, DLT, ADB, and related tooling.

Responsibilities

• Field triage experience: reproduce and isolate defects from production/field environments.
• Python scripting sufficient to automate repetitive checks and parse logs; Linux/Ubuntu proficiency.
• Strong defect-tracking discipline (JIRA/Confluence) and experience in agile release cycles.
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Math, or related field.
