Job summary

Dorleco is seeking a hands-on Firmware Validation Engineer in Foster City to lead manual testing for Audio and connectivity features. You will own day-to-day test execution, expand test suites, and drive coverage improvements across in-cabin experiences.

Responsibilities include reproducing defects, analyzing logs with Wireshark/ADB, and coordinating with firmware teams to close issues efficiently. A strong QA mindset and scripting ability are essential.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field with 8+ years hands-on validation experience.
Experience writing/executing test plans and closing coverage gaps.
Hands-on validation in at least one connectivity domain (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, LTE/5G, GNSS).
Strong log triage, debugging, and root-cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

Execute manual functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing for Audio and streaming features.
Develop and expand test content; maintain current test documentation.
Identify coverage gaps and track coverage health per feature track.
Reproduce defects, capture logs, and isolate root causes for defect owners.
Manage defects end-to-end in JIRA with clear steps and verification.
Maintain benches and in-vehicle rigs; ensure test readiness.
