Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Colorado is seeking an experienced firmware verification engineer to help ensure the quality and reliability of SSD firmware by developing validation strategies, analyzing failures, and expanding test automation.

You will collaborate with firmware engineers, product teams, and validation colleagues to implement NVMe feature tests such as SMART, Trim, and Get Log Page, while leveraging AI-assisted tools to optimize testing and reporting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a computing/engineering field with 3–5 years (Bachelor) or 1–3 years (Master) experience.
Strong Python programming skills and experience with data libraries (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn) and test automation.
Experience with test methodologies, automation concepts, and validation strategy execution.
Familiarity with machine learning concepts and applying models to testing challenges.

Responsibilities

Implement firmware verification strategies for NVMe features (SMART, Trim, Get Log Page, OCP).
Investigate regression and field failures; perform root cause analysis and document findings.
Enhance test infrastructure, automation frameworks, CI/CD workflows, and reporting.
Leverage AI-enabled tools to improve test optimization, failure triage, and productivity.
