Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) seeks a Firmware Engineer to join our on-site Nashua, NH team. You will design, implement and debug firmware for active high-speed IO cables and thermal loopback products, working with CMIS interfaces and DSP-assisted hosts.

You will collaborate with hardware and software teams, mentor peers, and ensure robust documentation while supporting manufacturing and product qualification efforts.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and 5+ years of firmware experience.
• Proficiency with ARM Cortex-M0/M0+ and sub-32KB flash embedded systems.
• Strong I2C bus understanding and debugging, including bit-banged interfaces.
• Experience with SWD debugging and source control practices (Git preferred).
• Clear English communication and teamwork in a hardware/software environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, debug and support firmware for high speed cables and related products.
• Collaborate with product teams to turn concepts into manufacturable firmware.
• Provide firmware support for qualification, testing and manufacturing processes.
• Mentor teammates and ensure thorough firmware documentation.
• Interact with manufacturing plants during product ramp-up when required.
