Qualifications

• 3+ years of embedded firmware development in telecom/optical networking.
• Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems.
• Experience with bare-metal and RTOS such as FreeRTOS.
• Strong knowledge of ARM Cortex-M/R and interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, Ethernet).
• Familiarity with hardware/software co-design and debugging tools.
• Experience with Git.
• DSP or control systems knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and debug firmware for optical modules and transceivers.
• Implement embedded software for microcontrollers with RTOS focus.
• Develop unit, integration, and system tests for firmware quality.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to define firmware interfaces.
• Support product bring-up, debug, and production ramp-up.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and design reviews.
• Analyze and resolve complex firmware issues and bottlenecks.
• Document firmware designs, specs, and test plans.
• Stay current with embedded systems and optical networking trends.
