Job summary

CACI International Inc is seeking a Firmware Engineer – Embedded Controls / Sensors to design, modify, and debug low-level software on embedded processors and microcontrollers, collaborating across hardware, software, and systems teams.

You will work with gimbals, optics, motors, and sensors to implement new capabilities, integrate hardware, and troubleshoot complex system behavior in critical national security missions. This role requires TS/SCI clearance and hands-on embedded experience.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Typically a BA/BS or equivalent with 6-7 years of related work.
• Experience in embedded firmware development in C/C++ or similar.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify embedded firmware for advanced hardware systems supporting critical national security missions.
• Work directly with devices such as gimbals, optics, motors, sensors, and other embedded subsystems to implement new capabilities and troubleshoot system behavior.
• Interface with hardware using serial protocols and optimize real-time performance.
