Job Summary:

The person hired for the position of Network Security Engineer will be responsible for research, design, and implementation of technology, systems, and policies for core network and information security in support of business needs. The Engineer will manage Cisco Switching, Check Point UTMs, Cisco ASA Firewalls, Cisco ASA VPNs, SSL Reverse Proxy, Cloud Web Security, and SSL Decryption. Additionally, they will support and engineer the global switching, network, and wireless environment for site integrations related to a large acquisition. The role includes supporting Cisco switching, Cisco routing, Cisco wireless controllers, Cisco wireless APs, and a limited deployment of Cisco Meraki, HP H3C/Aruba switching & wireless.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Support Check Point UTMs, Cisco ASA Firewalls, Cisco ASA VPNs, and Juniper SSL gateways.
2. Support, participate, and coordinate large network refresh projects.
3. Migrations from old equipment to new equipment.
4. Network engineering and support for global switching and wireless environment projects.
5. Implement globally developed standards.
6. Support, troubleshoot, and design Cisco switching, routing, wireless controllers, APs, and limited deployment of Meraki and HP/Aruba devices.
7. Determine client/user requirements.
8. Assist in creating procedural manuals and documentation.
9. Maintain expertise in assigned areas to meet goals and objectives.
10. Manage products throughout their lifecycle.
11. Participate in weekly service review meetings with clients and vendors.
12. Mentor other team members.
13. Obtain and maintain CCSA or CCSE Check Point certifications (nice to have).
14. Experience configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting security devices.
15. Support network technologies such as LAN Switching/Routing and routing protocols.
16. Participate in network projects and LAN design.
17. Use Visio or similar tools for documenting network design.
18. Knowledge of 3M's internal systems.
19. Manage individuals from diverse technical and personality backgrounds, including a global team.
20. Lead network projects and LAN design.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Build and dashboard Check Point UTMs (Firewall, Anti-Virus, Anti-Bot, IDS/IPS, OSPF, Identity Awareness, Application Control).
• Support tickets, troubleshooting, and patching UTMs.
• Write scripts (currently in Bash) for UTM patch checks.
• Update systems like CIRM, DNS, Inventory via 3M portal, Excel, and ITSM.
• Ensure proper Radius access and troubleshoot issues.
• Work on upgrade and patching procedures for uptime.
• Write UTM policies for projects and deployments.
• Consult on UTM aspects in network designs, including Visio diagrams.
• Deploy global and local UTM policies.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $68.00/hr. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation, EAP, PTO, and more. Eligibility and specific benefits depend on employment status and location.
