Job summary

Firewall Engineer -- Contract

Location: Raritan, NJ Area | Remote with occasional onsite visit

Schedule: Monday--Friday, 8 AM--5 PM EST

Duration: Contract

Role Summary:

Seeking an experienced Firewall Engineer with strong Cisco firewall expertise to support firewall segmentation, traffic analysis, rule creation, and security initiatives.

Required Skills:

• Strong Cisco FTD, ASA, and FMC experience
• Excellent TCP/IP, routing, switching, and networking fundamentals
• Firewall traffic analysis and rule creation
• Network segmentation and least-privilege security
• Experience with Jira and Excel
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently with global teams

Preferred:

• Zscaler, Elisity, or Azure Data Explorer
• Manufacturing/industrial or regulated-environment experience
• MES/application communication flow knowledge
• CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, or similar certifications

Note: Occasional after-hours/weekend support may be required for planned firewall maintenance activities.
