Qualifications

• Must be able to diagnose problems and identify root causes.
• Experience reading schematics, prints, and production drawings.
• Familiarity with LEAN and continuous improvement concepts.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work from shop orders and customer reports.

Responsibilities

• Ensure manufacturing, quality, and safety requirements are met.
• Follow shop orders, specifications, reports, manuals, schematics, prints, and production schedules.
• Diagnose problems, establish root cause, disassemble units, and determine extent of repairs; identify material requirements.
• Reassemble and test components to meet applicable standards.
• Review malfunctions, analyze data, coordinate resolution with responsible party; may visit customer locations.
• Set up tests for electrical components such as lights, sirens, radios, and warning systems.
