Job summary

Trillium Construction in Charlotte, NC is hiring Firestop Installers/Technicians to seal openings and prevent fire and smoke spread. You will install firestop sealants and sprays per tested systems, maintain a safe workspace, and work independently on large blocks of time at heights.

Travel overnight is required occasionally; must have a valid driver’s license and transportation. Daily schedule is Mon-Fri, about 40+ hours per week with local work and some travel; pay ranges from $20 to $24 per

Qualifications

• Must be willing to travel overnight.
• Must have valid driver’s license and transportation.
• Able to pass pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Installs, inspects, and repairs materials to seal openings in walls, floors, and ceilings, preventing the passage and spread of fire and smoke.
• Installing firestop sealants and sprays as directed by tested systems and EJ’s.
• Maintaining a safe and clean work site.
• Ability to be precise on installations and work independently for large blocks of time. Works at heights on ladders and scaffolding.
• Experience operating hand tools like electric drills, powder actuated guns, measuring devices, caulk guns, spatulas, for tooling caulk.
• Transporting buckets of spray by hand, must be able to lift a minimum of 45 pounds.
