Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a talented Specialty Technician to join our Chantilly team and advance in a dynamic work environment. You''ll perform field observations and inspections, and may also work with steel performing destructive and non-destructive testing (NDT).

Responsibilities include field activities, testing procedures for structural steel, data collection, and ongoing communication with contractors and project managers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience.
• Must have or be willing to obtain 2 relevant specialty certifications.
• Position requires lifting 40-70 lbs repeatedly and sometimes 85 lbs to waist height.

Responsibilities

• Field activities: observations, testing, inspections, sampling of construction materials.
• Testing procedures: observe structural steel and reinforcing steel testing per industry standards.
• Data collection: calculations and data reduction from test results and inspections; admin duties as required.
• Communication: daily updates with site contractors and project managers; attend meetings as requested.
• Training and development: receive ECS methodology training; document findings precisely.
