Mill Creek Lumber and Supply Company in Tulsa, OK is seeking a skilled Fireplace Service Technician to install, inspect, maintain, and repair residential fireplaces. You will follow manufacturer guidelines and safety standards while delivering excellent customer service.

This full-time role requires 2+ years of related experience, knowledge of gas, wood-burning and electric systems, and the ability to read manuals and blueprints.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in fireplace installation, maintenance, or repair.
• Knowledge of gas, wood-burning, and electric fireplace systems.
• Understanding of venting systems, gas connections, and safety protocols.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret installation manuals, blueprints, and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair gas, wood-burning, and electric fireplaces according to manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
• Conduct routine maintenance and diagnostic inspections to ensure fireplaces are operating efficiently and safely.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform necessary repairs, including replacing parts and adjusting.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, explaining fireplace operation, and offering maintenance tips.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, manufacturer specifications, and company safety policies.
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and parts used.
• Communicate effectively with customers, contractors, and internal teams to resolve service-related issues.
• Keep work areas clean and organized, ensuring proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Participate in training programs to stay updated on the latest fireplace technologies and industry standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
