Job summary

Suburban Insulation, a member of the IBP family, is seeking a skilled Fireplace Installer to fit and service gas, wood-burning or pellet fireplaces on residential sites. You will install products per manufacturer specifications and help keep job sites clean and safe while coordinating with supervisors.

The role demands physical stamina, a valid driver’s license, and a readiness to work in varying conditions. Training is provided to establish expertise in installations and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Good mechanical aptitude required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience or knowledge installing or repairing gas, wood-burning, or pellet fireplaces is a plus.
• Experience in finish carpentry or residential construction is helpful and preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleanliness of vehicles and jobsite before, during, and after installation.
• Install products to manufacturer specifications.
• Follow state code enforcement and OSHA safety standards.
• Submit installation photos to supervisor and maintain communication on progress.
• Perform daily ladder checks and safely load materials and tools.
• Report installation results and final setbacks to the supervisor.

Key responsibilities:

• Cleanliness of vehicles
• Jobsite clean-up after completion of installation.
• Installing products to manufacturer specifications.
• Following state code enforcement
• Proper care and use of tools
• Submitting installing photos to supervisor.
• Completely provided educational training is needed.
• Follow OSHA safety standards.
• Retain DOT Medical Examination Card.
• Report installation and final setbacks to the supervisor
• Complete ladder check daily in monthly.
• Safely and securely load material and tools.

Physical Demands

The role of a Fireplace Installer requires physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks on rooftops, in crawl spaces, and in varying environmental conditions.
