Job summary

Firehouse Subs is seeking team members in Pooler, GA to join our fast-paced, guest‑facing crew. You will prepare and assemble menu items, operate POS systems, and deliver excellent service in a friendly atmosphere.

Previous food service experience is a plus but not required; we provide training. This is a part‑time position with opportunities to grow and learn across food preparation, service, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble menu items following recipes and quality standards.
• Operate POS systems (Aloha, Micros) to process orders and handle cash accurately.
• Deliver friendly customer service, take and upsell orders, answer questions.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and dining areas.
• Support team with bussing tables, restocking supplies, and managing busy periods.

We are looking for the next ROCK STAR to join our family at Firehouse Subs® Restaurant!!! Part-time positions are available. A Team Member must understand the importance of the customer experience and understand that they are the “Face” of Firehouse Subs. Real people serving awesome sandwiches to real people.

Essential Functions include:

• Prepare and assemble menu items efficiently, following established recipes and quality standards.
• Operate POS systems like Aloha and Micros to process orders accurately and handle cash transactions responsibly.
• Deliver excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and food handling zones in compliance with health regulations.
• Assist with food safety practices, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
• Support team members by bussing tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring a smooth flow during busy hours.
• Manage time effectively to serve guests promptly while maintaining high standards of quality and friendliness.

Additional Requirements:

• Previous experience in food service or quick service restaurants is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and order calculations are important.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is preferred.
• Experience in customer service roles within the food industry or retail environments will help you succeed.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant or café setting while maintaining a positive attitude.
