Job summary

Richmond County Schools is seeking a Firefighter Technology / Public Safety Teacher to lead the CTE program at Richmond Senior High School in NC. The role focuses on preparing students for Firefighter I & II credentials through classroom and hands-on training, aligned with NC DPI standards.

The instructor will collaborate with local fire departments for field exercises, supervise training activities, and support CTSOs.

Qualifications

• Meets NCDPI CTE Licensure Area 74099 – Public Safety requirements.
• Education includes a Bachelor's Degree and related fire/public safety credentials.
• Certifications include Firefighter II, Hazardous Materials Operations, and FEMA ICS courses.

Responsibilities

• Teach Firefighter Technology and Public Safety courses following NC CTE standards.
• Deliver engaging, hands-on lessons with supervised fire and rescue scenarios.
• Maintain safe facilities and ensure OSFM safety compliance.
