Job summary

Jackson Township Fire Department is hiring a full-time Firefighter/Paramedic to deliver professional fire protection and EMS services within the township. Ideal candidates will hold Ohio Firefighter II and Paramedic certifications, or be actively pursuing paramedic training, plus PAT within the last year.

Eligible for township benefits and OAFF retirement; applications due by 9/18/2026. Position is full-time with opportunities for growth, lateral transfers, and ongoing education reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license required.
• State of Ohio Firefighter II certification (FFII) required.
• State of Ohio Paramedic certification or active enrollment in a paramedic course.
• PAT certification from Stark State College or Tri-C within last 12 months.
