Job summary

City of Forest Park Fire Department is seeking a Firefighter/Paramedic to provide fire suppression, rescue operations and advanced EMS care. You will operate fire apparatus, perform safety inspections, and participate in ongoing training with a focus on public safety.

The role requires Firefighter II and Paramedic certification, plus a valid Ohio driver’s license and the ability to pass background checks and medical exams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; valid Ohio driver's license and insurable driving record.
• State of Ohio Firefighter II certification and Paramedic certification required; background check, polygraph, and medical exam pass needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform fire suppression and prevention duties, deploy hoses and ladders, search and rescue occupants.
• Operate and maintain fire apparatus and EMS equipment; conduct pre-fire plans and public education programs.
• Provide emergency medical care, stabilize patients, and document treatment.
• Participate in ongoing training and department safety inspections.
