Job summary

Brevard County Fire Rescue is seeking a Firefighter/Paramedic for a permanent, full-time position in Florida. The role includes a $64,971.97 annual salary, rising to $68,114.38 once Paramedic solo status is achieved, plus a $7,000 sign-on bonus after onboarding.

Typical shifts are 24 hours on, 48 hours off. Candidates must hold ACLS, Florida Paramedic cert, and a Florida Firefighter Certificate of Compliance, plus a valid FL driver license; testing is scheduled, with multiple background checks

Qualifications

• Requires ACLS card from an approved agency at the time of written testing.
• Must hold Florida Paramedic certification and maintain during employment.
• Must possess Florida State Fire Fighter Certificate of Compliance or Letter of Completion.
• Must hold a valid Florida Driver's license and maintain during employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform protective service work, extinguishing fires and providing Advanced Life Support at emergency scenes.
• Applicants must pass a written fire and medical exam and choose CPAT or BPAT.
• Must complete a CJIS background check and a NFPA 1582 fitness assessment; able to pass medical exams.
