Job summary

Ocean Reef Community Association, Inc. is seeking a Firefighter Medic to promptly respond to emergencies, provide fire suppression and EMS care, and maintain readiness across Ocean Reef and surrounding response areas.

The role requires Florida Firefighter II and Paramedic credentials, plus at least one year of combined Firefighter/Paramedic experience, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and safety on a 24-hour shift.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Fire Protection, Paramedic Medicine or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a certified Paramedic and Firefighter.
• Florida Firefighter II Certification and Florida Paramedic Certification and/or National Registry Paramedic Certification.
• Ability to lift and move over 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs fire prevention and suppression activities as directed.
• Performs vehicle extrication and rescue activities as directed.
• Administers patient care in emergency situations per department protocols.
• Maintains fire station and equipment; participates in training.
• Complies with ORCA policies; reports as required.
• Assists full-time security staff with security and patrol duties as needed.
• Submits accurate written reports per SOPs.
• Performs additional duties as deemed necessary.
