Job summary

Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation is seeking a Firefighter under the supervision of the Fire Captain. The role includes extinguishing fires, providing emergency medical care, rescue tasks, and maintaining equipment and fire stations.

Duties also cover fire prevention inspections and training to keep personnel and the public safe. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and EMT-I certification; experience as a firefighter is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Respond to fire alarms and medical emergencies to protect life and property.
• Perform firefighter duties: lay/connect hoses, direct water streams, use entry tools and equipment.
• Operate a two-way radio to communicate with dispatch.
• Participate in fire prevention inspections and training.
• Work 48-hour shifts with overtime; may be recalled or on duty per needs of this department.
• Provide emergency medical care and rescue support as needed.
