Job summary

The City of Greenacres is hiring Firefighter/EMT to join Greenacres Fire Rescue. The role features a Spartan schedule beginning 10/1/2026, a unique 42-hour work week with a 24/48 and 24/96 rotation, and a starting salary of $62,992.65 annually, or $28.84 hourly, pending ratification of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The minimum requirements for employment as a Firefighter/EMT are as follows:

• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States and be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Knowledge of:
• Principles and practices of firefighting to include fire rescue, evacuation, exposures, confinement, extinguishment, radio communications, and ventilation.
• Fire prevention techniques including detection of common fire hazards.
• Principles and practices of emergency medical procedures and skill in their application.
• Geography of the response areas, including water distribution.
